We are extremely proud to date of the Green Ayre suite facilities we have developed for our members over recent years, so much so that on occasions we hire out the venue to Non Members (The Suite must be applied for by a fully paid up member as a Guarantor for your event)<\/p>\n

The Green Ayre Suite here at Lancaster Railway sports and social club (LRSSC) is the ideal venue to host you\u2019re celebration of the circle of life special event from Baby showers, Christenings, Children\u2019s Party\u2019s, birthdays, family fun days, engagements, weddings, Birthdays of the decade, wedding anniversaries, retirement parties, Funeral Teas to bereavement gatherings to name just a few or even a business meeting \/ Training event should you wish.<\/p>\n

It is our aim to provide whatever you need to make the function you are planning a success. We strive to provide value for money and be the best in the area at what we do.<\/p>\n

With the Suite accommodating up to 120 for a casual party and up to a 100 for a more formal event made up of 72 chairs & 28 fitted bench seating it can be configured to how you wish. The Suite has its own dedicated street access also incorporating Disability access, Fully Licensed Bar, Dance Floor, Stage, Gents, Ladies and Disabled Toilet with baby changing facilities, Access to the Beer Garden and parking for up to 10 Cars at the front and If required permission could be sourced in advance for parking for another 20 plus cars at the side of the building. Sorry we don\u2019t have space for the helipad as yet nor have we been able to gain permission for a mooring on the river for the private Yacht.<\/p>\n

Venue Availability\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

The Suite is available for hire at any time day or evening, 364 days of the year (Sorry the Green Ayre suite is closed Christmas day). Our normal opening times are as stated on our home page.<\/p>\n

Table,Seating & Decorations\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

The Hire cost includes chairs and tables of 4, 6, or 8s set out to your specifications. Should you require other presentable decorations to fit the mood of your event we can help with table covers, chair covers and full room and table decorations at an additional charge or you may wish to decorate the room yourself or use an outside event company the choice is yours. Sorry but for everyone\u2019s safety we do not allow candles, Fireworks, Chinese lanterns or any other naked flame decorations.<\/p>\n

Catering\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

The Club can on occasions provide a limited choice of catering in house if required, However the Lancaster Railway sports and social club regrettably does not have full in house catering facilities in which to provide, hold, prepare and serve safe function food to an acceptable quality for large numbers. Therefore should you wish to offer food to your guests you will need to source an external caterer that has a very good knowledge of food safety and is preferably registered and Licensed with Lancaster City Council. External caterers are recommended also to provide evidence of their Liability insurance prior to the event. (All caterers on the day are fully responsible for the food they serve \/ served, the N.A.R.C Lancaster Railway Sports & Social club takes no responsibility or liability for food served)\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Railway club also does not have the chilled \/ cold holding facilities that meet the currant food safety regulations to store food prior to or after the event so your caterer must fully act upon this information and take steps for your guests safety.<\/p>\n

We can help with the sourcing of catering contacts that meet the above criteria and are able to meet your budget should you find this service of help.<\/p>\n

Bar Facilities\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

Due to our Licensing conditions all drinks must be provided via the L.R.S.S.C Bar without exception.<\/p>\n

Prices are very similar to a reasonably priced public House and whilst we have a full selection of draught and bottled beers, Lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks we can also caterer for any special need that you may have. We also provide the bar staff and include this within the Hire charge.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Bar is licensed until 11.45pm Last orders but on some occasions we are able to apply for an extension to these times should you require at an extra cost.<\/p>\n

Entertainment<\/h1>\n

We do find our self\u2019s in a fortunate position both for the members and our clients of having the benefit of a residential DJ that offers vast experience of many variations of entertainment and events at a very competitive rate. He is well proficient as a Toast Master and Children\u2019s parties and games as well should you require.
